Matt has spent 20 years working in architectural specifications across the UK, the Middle East and Australia. He co-founded SpecStudio in 2021 with a simple belief: that specification writing, an analogue service in an industry going digital, could be done better.

Before co-founding SpecStudio, he held senior roles at leading specification consultancies, building and leading teams around the world and delivering specifications alongside renowned architects on some of the industry's most iconic projects.

That international experience, spanning design processes, procurement routes, technologies and regional requirements, now helps shape how SpecStudio supports its clients.

SpecStudio has supported over 150 architectural practices, from boutique studios to global firms. Matt's approach is built on understanding architects: their appointment, their obligations, and the care behind every design. And on getting every detail right.

Matt also leads SpecStudio's innovation, developing new ideas, technologies and services for architects.
